The 55th Annual Polar Bear Swim on March 3rd!

Updated: Mar 1

On March 3rd, the 55th annual Olcott Polar Bear Swim is taking place at Krull Park! This event is produced by the Olcott Lions Club and has been an incredibly popular attraction over the years. Swimmers come together and enjoy the beauty of Lake Ontario while raising money for the visually impaired.

This is a family-friendly event that even has a kid zone. Costumes are encouraged and there is a costume contest! Tailgating starts at 10 am, with the swim and costume contest beginning at 1 pm. In previous years, this has been an extremely popular event.

Tickets for this event can be purchased by donation, with proceeds going toward the visually impaired along with several other local charities. Plungers are jumping into the freezing, icy, 32-degree waters to help raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for people in need!
