CBD oil is a component of the cannabis plant. CBD is what’s know as a Phytocannabinoid. CDB is one of 100+ cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannabis plants can be grown into marijuana plants or hemp plants. Marijuana plants have a high concentration of THC. THC is the cannabinoid that results in the “high” affiliated with marijuana.
Hemp plants contain very high levels of CBD and very low (less then .3%) THC. CBD is shown to help support the following conditions:
Chronic and acute pain
CBD binds to receptors in the human body and has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. CBD is known to create a state of homeostasis/balance in the body. Almost every part of the human body has cannabinoid receptors. Did you know your body already makes its own cannabinoids? CBD helps balance your body’s own cannabinoid levels.
It is important to understand that not all CBD products are created equal. For example, did you know hemp seed oil is not CBD oil? Did you know some CBD products are CBD isolate while others are full spectrum? Did you know CBD oil has a bi-phasic effect? This means at too low of a dose its ineffective, while at too high of a dose it may result in unwanted side effects?
“Many patients we see with chronic back pain usually suffer from a host of other health problems. Take for example someone with fibromyalgia, resulting from a traumatic accident. More often than not this patient will present with pain, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and God forbid opioid addiction. These symptoms always go hand in hand.
Think how hard it is to sleep when you are in pain, think about the anxiety and depression that results from a good night’s sleep. Think how this impacts work performance. I truly feel for these people and want to help. How could I not promote CBD oil? How could I not want to educate the public on this topic? I feel strongly this is one of the products on the market today. Even just the pain cream alone we use works wonders”!
